Quantum Surgical, award-winner of the Occitanie Innovation call for projects under the Investing for the Future scheme for its artificial intelligence program

Quantum Surgical, an innovative surgical robotic company, is an award-winner in the call for projects organized by the French government and the Occitanie Region as part of the third phase of the Investing for the Future scheme operated by Bpifrance, for the development of its artificial intelligence project.

The “Occitanie Innovation” call for projects aims to encourage the emergence and development of regional companies that are leaders in their field and have the potential to become national players.

Quantum Surgical has been granted 490 000 euros, financed equally by both the French government and the Occitanie Region.

As part of this funding, Quantum Surgical has launched a research and innovation program on artificial intelligence technologies to assist the practice of percutaneous ablation.

“We are very pleased with this new financial support from the French government, the Occitanie region and Bpifrance, who remain at our side in this new adventure. It will allow us to accelerate the development of innovative tools for both patients and practitioners,” explains Bertin Nahum, President and founder of Quantum Surgical.

About Quantum Surgical:

Co-founded in 2017 by Bertin Nahum, Quantum Surgical is an innovative surgical robotic company based in Montpellier (France). Quantum Surgical’s robotic solution is a combination of powerful software and robotic platform for minimally invasive therapies in liver cancer. This platform combining robotics, image analytics, and artificial intelligence will allow more and more patients to benefit from safer interventional oncology procedures, especially in the case of early-stage liver cancers. The incidence of liver cancer in the population is, unfortunately, growing very rapidly. Liver cancer is one of the most common cancers with more than 800 000 cases each year in the world.
